Metaphor No. 140 is a work that explores the tension between order and disintegration, between structure and fragmentation. The elements overlap like layers of visual memory, interlocking forms that seem to teeter between stability and rupture. Black lines break the chromatic field, slicing through vibrant yellows and deep blues, creating a visual rhythm that evokes tension and restrained energy. The partially lifted horizontal strips introduce a sense of movement, almost a breath that traverses the pictorial surface. The pictorial material takes center stage with tears, folds, and overlays that accentuate the sense of a work in continuous transformation. Color is never static: yellow ignites and fades, blue creeps in like a liquid shadow, red appears as a signal of rupture. There is no fixed point,
