Metaphor No. 108 plays on the tension between depth and surface, between stability and precariousness. The contrast between the fiery background of reds and oranges and the dark center, dominated by deep blacks and blues, creates an effect of attraction and repulsion, as if space were constantly being renegotiated. The overlapping material fragments break the unity of the composition, introducing a sense of instability, of restrained movement. The diagonal lines and sharp cuts suggest a fragmented space, an inner landscape made of tensions and reconstructions. Light creeps into the details like a sudden revelation, tracing invisible paths between the forms. The work seems to question the nature of memory and perception: what appears solid is actually on the verge of imbalance, what seems defined is in continuous transformation.
