the face is a threshold,

a surface where time settles
with its sound.

here the body gathers in the gaze,
matter becomes presence,
form does not describe identity
but distance:
between what appears
and what is.

In faces, sculpture does not seek resemblance,
but what remains when time passes through matter.

Each portrait is a silent threshold.
